Reelect David to make Emeryville a leader on housing, transportation and safety.
Build housing to improve our community
The Bay Area is in the midst of a housing affordability crisis. As we build we can enrich our community by attracting more families, expanding green space and connecting bike paths. Let’s make Emeryville a model for the rest of the Bay Area by making housing abundant and creating a sustainable and connected community.
Support small business and local workers
Our local restaurants, bars, cafes and art galleries are the heart of our community. When our businesses thrive they hire more workers and these workers benefit from Emeryville’s high wages and labor protection laws. Parklets and sidewalk dining make for a vibrant city and should be encouraged. The city should be responsive to the needs of small businesses and partner with them to improve the surrounding neighborhoods.
A thriving community is a safe community
I want nothing more than to watch my four year old bike fearlessly down the greenway and other city streets. A walkable, bikable and vibrant city relies on proper infrastructure to ensure people feel safe walking and biking around the city. This includes protected bike lanes, wide sidewalks, adequate lighting and robust city services to ensure a safe city with a high quality of life.
